Precipitation Hardened
FV520B
FV520B is a low carbon precipitation hardening stainless, displaying characteristics of both austenitic and martensitic steels. Each condition of FV520B is age hardened by a low temperature precipitation hardening heat treatment, which provides different levels of mechanical strengths.
We supply the Primary Hardened or Double Over-Aged condition.
FV520B is similar to 17/4PH, combining high strength and toughness, with superior corrosion resistance (comparable to 304). It is also magnetic.
