Austenitic grades are the most popular stainless steel grades due to their excellent corrosion resistance & formability. Carbon, Molybdenum Titanium and Sulphur are added to the basic austenitic composition structure (Iron, Chromium, Nickel), to create variants with altered properties. 303 1.4305 stainless steel is considered the free-machining austenitic 300 series grade.
