Stainless Steel Bars for the Oil & Gas Sector

Stainless Steel Bars for the Oil & Gas Industry

Just as in the marine industry, environments for oil and gas applications (Storage tanks, pressure wells, structural components, heat exchangers, pumps, valves etc) can be extremely corrosive and harsh.

We supply primary energy and oil and gas companies and their subcontractors with an extensive range of fully traceable and internationally certified material.

We supply to ASTM, NACE and NORSOK standards

The metallurgy of these steels can be complex and if you need any help concerning usage, heat treatment etc, please do consult our in-house metallurgist for advice specific to your needs.

Bird Stainless Steel supply varying grades which include Martensitic and Precipitation Hardening steels, released to demanding specifications including NACE MR0175 & MR0103, API 6A & PED 97/23 EC.

These grades are used for a wide variety of applications in the offshore industries and are commonly supplied quenched & tempered or precipitation hardened with varying mechanical properties and differing Rockwell hardness requirements. The characteristics of these steel grades include tensile strength, yield strength, fatigue resistance, toughness and wear resistance with varying degrees of corrosion resistance

Being both a stockholder and processor, we can supply our customers with exactly what they require even on tight deadlines.  If a stock item is suitable, we can ship immediately.  If processing is required, we do this speedily in-house, without having to outsource.  This also gives us complete control over quality, evidenced by our ISO9001:2015 accreditation.
